Returns Policy

RETURNS  All our products are carefully checked prior to dispatch. When you receive your delivery please check for any damage straight away. Damages must be reported to us with 48hrs. Even if you intend to return the item any damage must still be reported, as after this 48 hour period it is deemed that the items have arrived in satisfactory condition and no claims will be acknowledged or damaged returns accepted. We will require a photograph of the damage as in some instances it may be possible just to replace a broken glass shade rather than the whole fitting as this will reduce the inconvenience and waiting time. Where this is not possible we will arrange for a replacement to be sent on receipt of the damaged item.

In the unlikely event that you receive the wrong product, or you wish to return the product for any other reason, please contact us within 14 days of receipt. Goods cannot be returned to us after 14 calendar days of receipt and all returns must be notified to us prior to return. Returned items must be UNUSED and in the ORIGINAL PACKAGING and accompanied by the ORIGINAL COPY of the Lighting and Lights RECEIPT and received by us within 14 days of issuing you with your RETURNS NUMBER. The cost of returning unwanted items will be the customers responsibility. Items that are returned to us remain the customer’s responsibility until they are received by us in good order (unless damage has been notified). We therefore strongly recommend that you retain your proof of posting in case the parcel gets lost or damaged and you need to make a claim from your courier or Royal Mail. Should the returned items be damaged in any way when they are received by us (unless damaged has already been notified) we reserve the right to reduce the refund paid to you.

Our returns policy does not apply to goods purchased on trade terms. Due to the nature of business to business transactions no returns will be accepted. This however does not affect your statutory rights.

Lighting And Lights are not liable for any additional costs incurred by delay to electrical work due to late arrival of items, damage, or if a product is found to be faulty. The electrical contractor has not been appointed by us and does not form a part of the sale or service we provide to you.

We offer a 12 month guarantee on all our products (except light bulbs). In the unlikely event that your light fitting develops a fault within 12 months of purchase, we will arrange for a replacement to be dispatched on receipt of the faulty fitting and your original Lighting and Lights receipt. We therefore recommend you retain your Lighting and Lights receipt and your credit card receipt for at least 12 months in case you need to contact us for a replacement. Should your light develop a fault within the guarantee period, please contact us on before returning the item to us.
