Upside Down; You’re Turning Me!

You heard it here first folks! The hottest trend to hit the magazines and our homes really challenges the way that we live and relax. It is often said that we take can things for granted when they are expected and this look thrives on ensuring we look out our homes with a fresh perspective.

Turning your room upside down allows us to fall head over heels in love with our homes again. Instead of cluttering up your floor, you can free it up by placing your everyday items on the ceiling. Sofas, beds, carpets, tables and other furniture can be nailed or glued to the ceiling to keep the cosy look without eating into your floor space.

The trick of this look is to keep it as authentic as possible, use your existing furniture and place in the same locations, albeit a mirror image – a top tip here is to glue lamps and ornaments on to the furniture before placing on the ceiling!

Alongside these top tips, we now have some clever ceiling pendants that have a solid suspension that you can site on your floor. Floor lamps (or should I say, ceiling lamps) are excellent too as they will illuminate down to your new ceiling.
