Lighting styles for the home you want, not the house you have!

We’re shining a light on lighting styles that illuminate your personality! Get inspired!
In our previous post, Illuminating Homes; Part 1, we explored, through lighting styles, the emotional connection and social sharing that makes our houses a home.
Your home does not have to be a carbon copy of an image you see on Pinterest or in a magazine, create your own haven in your home that suits what you love!
Here, we’re throwing out the rule book of what lighting styles you should have, to what style of light you COULD have!
It doesn’t matter if your rooms are too small, too large, an odd shape or just a bit unloved – it’s how you see it that counts. It’s all about lighting YOUR style, YOUR way.
So, look at your home with fresh eyes and consider all possibilities!
Add a bit of Hotel Chic Lighting
Let’s face it, we all love going to a luxury hotel where we can be waited on in glamorous surroundings. It doesn’t even matter if we’re only there for a quick drink, it gives us that sense of grandeur that you just can’t help but enjoy.
Light up Contemporary Style!
Even the most traditional of us has to admit that technological advancements are beneficial. Especially when the areas are relevant to our values. Contemporary lighting offers modern silhouettes and shapes, along with saving money on running costs!
Get the Retro Look
If that is really too contemporary for your tastes, take a trip down memory lane with retro, vintage and mid-century style lights. Nostalgically familiar, you can always use LED bulbs here and nobody needs to know!!!!
Quirky Lighting
Whilst most of us like to live in our comfort zone, there is often an area where we want to be a little more outlandish. This could be a colourful or odd coloured pair of socks, an unusually styled watch or something altogether more wacky! Using the right quirky lighting styles is a great way to inject your personality into a room.
Posh and Sophisticated
If we were totally honest, we’d probably all want our homes to be a little bit ‘more’. Bigger, cleaner, less cluttered or more polished, a home fit for the Queen herself to visit. If you stick to a tonal colour palette and have great lights with a bit of bling, you may surprise yourself what a difference it can make!
